Nadim Mehanna and his MotorShow team took the Ford Mustang Dark Horse for a comprehensive drive in the UAE.
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse represents the most track-focused, naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 in the Mustang lineup. It was engineered to bridge the gap between everyday usability and dedicated circuit performance, introducing extensive mechanical upgrades, improved cooling, and distinctive aerodynamic refinements that define it as the performance flagship among non-Shelby models.
At its heart lies a reworked 5.0-litre “Coyote” V8 delivering 500 horsepower and around 567 Nm of torque. This engine features forged internals and dual-throttle bodies derived from Ford’s higher-performance divisions, designed to sustain heavy loads during extended high-speed driving. It can be paired with a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission featuring rev-matching or an optional 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

A fixed race-inspired rear wing increases downforce, while the aggressive front fascia and lower side skirts improve airflow and cooling efficiency.
